About the Designer
The creative vision behind Maison de Mawollie is shaped by a rich multicultural upbringing and a lifelong devotion to the arts. Rooted in West African heritage and influenced by diverse global experiences, the designer developed an early passion for creativity—experimenting with doll clothes, sketching, styling, and crafting handmade pieces long before pursuing formal fashion education.
With a degree in Fashion Marketing (AIPH, 2012), the designer’s path was anything but traditional. Faced with industry barriers and limited opportunities, the journey pivoted toward entrepreneurship. What began as a small online consignment shop soon evolved into a deeper calling: learning to sew, mastering construction, and building a brand from the
ground up.
Today, Maison de Mawollie stands as a testament to resilience, passion, and purpose—transforming a natural gift into a thriving design house that celebrates culture, craftsmanship, and the art of self-expression.
